WHAT IS QUALITY CHILD CARE?
Choosing the right child care provider is one of the most important decisions you can make as a parent or guardian. Texas requires all child care programs to comply with basic regulations around health and safety; however, many programs—including those certified by Texas Rising Star choose to exceed these minimum standards by providing higher-quality learning environments for children. These may include:
- Better lesson plans
- Enhanced classroom activities
- Higher teacher qualifications
- Improved parent education
